Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (known by a single name, as Michelangelo) was born on 6 March 1475.

His artistic works still inspire awe. My human saw his work on ceiling of the Sistine Chapel nearly 10 years ago.

His statue of David is perhaps the most famous sculpture in the world.

David can be seen at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence

The Pietà can be seen at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome

*As always, please check out Cooper and Camilla who always have interesting things to say.

Now that my birthday week celebrations are over, my human has returned to his habit of going to work and abandoning me during the day. Sigh!
