4293 is not a perfect number

For the last couple of days, the count on views/hits to my Catster page was 4293. I am glad that it has been fixed now.

4293 is not much of a special number. It is divisible by 3 at least.

Now if it had been 8128, it would have been a perfect number.

8128 can be divided by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 127, 254, 508, 1016, 2032 and 4064.

If you add up all those numbers thus:
1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + 64 + 127 + 254 + 508 + 1016 + 2032 + 4064
it equals = 8128

That is pretty cool. But is is only the fourth in the series. The first three are 6, 28 and 496.

You can read more about perfect numbers from the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland (where Prince William studied for his degree).

........ooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooo........

Today was so so. I napped to ABC Classic FM which had a great long segment of Mozart pieces from 1pm to 1.45pm. Don Giovanni - Overture; String Quartet No 4 in C, K157; Nocturnes - If you are far away, my love, K438 and Behold the dread moment, K436; Clarinet Concerto in A, K622; The Magic Flute - A sweetheart or a wife; and Serenade No 5 in D, K204. Fantastic.

I had cooked chicken for dinner as it is Tuesday - the usual poached thigh fillet pieces. I wonder if I will get red meat again?
