Australia's Brainest...

An Australian commercial TV station, actually two of them, had an interesting quiz show called Australia's Brainiest Kid. It was a proper quiz show and the kid who won, was awarded a trust fund.

Like all good quiz shows, viewers also learnt something and expanded their general knowledge.

The TV station, went beserk with the format and came up with Australia's Brainiest Comedian, then Musician, Olympian, Footballer, TV star, and even Big Brother housemates. See - Wikipedia.

The trouble with this is that most of the contestants are actually quite stupid and make a joke of their own ignorance. A quiz show might not be a good test of intelligence, but it demonstrates a person's capacity to retain knowledge and their wide range of interests.

To joke about being ignorant is appalling. If there was an Australia's Brainiest Cat (and if the human host understood catspeak meows), and I was a contestant and didn't know the answer to a question, I would be embarrassed.

Nothing much to report today. Well, actually there is. When my human returned home from work today I smelt another cat on him. How rude! From the smell, I found out that he had patted a black cat from up the road on his way home.
