george was a woman!

The Victorian writer (of Middlemarch, Silas Marner, etc) George Eliot was a woman!

Her real name was Mary Ann Evans. She had her reasons for using a pen name, a male pen name.

There was an interesting article in The Guardian, about some writers and their pseudonyms - 'What's in a pseudonym? ' of 29 March 2006.

*As always, please check out Cooper and Camilla who always have interesting things to say.

.........ooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooo........

Back on 30 October I wrote about the hour that disappeared. Early this morning, that hour re-appeared so our clocks had to be wound back an hour.

My human left me for the afternoon again. He went to visit that three month old kitten Lexie and her humans Jess and Mans. Lexie's older brother cat Jack passed away recently.

When my human came back we had a nice nap on the couch together, even though I actually wanted my dinner instead!
